Why do dupes save on consoles, but not on PC most of the time?
Due to heavy modding in the PC online community, Rockstar implemented a check/fix to stop "mass duping" on PC. Dupes can still save, but only in very rare cases.
How do I know if a duped car I just made is safe to sell?
If you used the GTA Online license-plates tool and applied a custom plate to the car you're duping, you're 100% fine to sell the dupes. If you have not applied a custom plate, compare license plates: if the original's plates and the duped car's plates match, that's an UNSAFE car to sell and the sales system will punish you. Full guide: Clean vs Dirty Dupes. Finding methods: GTA Online car duplication guide.
My vehicle has no visible license plate. Does this mean it's safe to dupe without issue?
No. All vehicles have a license plate even if you can't see it. Unless you know the dupe glitch you're using gives clean plates, use the GTA Online license-plates tool to try and apply plates to vehicles where you can't see the plate. See Clean vs Dirty Dupes for "cars with no plates" and blank plates.
Why does my dupe sell for a different price than the car I just duped? Is something broken?
No. When you dupe a vehicle, the game is made to think that vehicle is a Faggio, Elegy, or whatever else you use in the glitch. Because of that you get 50% of the money you spent on upgrades for the vehicle you're duping β€” that's why Benny's and Arena War vehicles are the best to dupe.
Fun fact: sell values
Any vehicle you bought sells for 60% of what you paid. Buy for 1M β†’ get 600k when you sell right after. Bought on discount? You get 60% of that discount price even after the discount ends.
If I'm looking to duplicate a car/vehicle for money, what's the best to dupe?
As of the FAQ date (7/20/21), the best vehicle to dupe for money is a fully maxed Arena War Issi β€” it sells for about 1.8 million (with max upgrades). On PC, if you use a dupe glitch that saves 100%, the sale price will be reduced somewhat.
I just duped a huge number of cars. Will Rockstar detect this and ban/reset me?
They cannot track that you are duplicating or have duplicated vehicles, unless a Rockstar admin account spectates you, which is very rare (and seems to occur more on PC).
Can I be banned or reset for doing "back to back" or "b2b" heist replay glitches?
No. Unless you record and upload or stream yourself doing the B2B glitch, Rockstar has no way to tell you aren't just having a bad internet connection.
I just got a car through GCTF (Give Cars to Friends). Is it immediately safe to sell?
Only if the vehicle given to you has a custom plate and you own and have activated the exact same plate. If not, it's a dirty dupe β€” don't sell it. GCTF is a dirty method; full details in Clean vs Dirty Dupes.
I have a dirty dupe vehicle in my garage. Should I sell it to get rid of it?
No. Never sell a dirty dupe. Use a street car or free car and save over its spot in a full garage so you remove it from your account completely. More on dupe detect and getting out of it: Clean vs Dirty Dupes.
I'm using a Yankton plate. Is that safe to sell?
Yes. The plate style doesn't matter as long as the text on the plate belongs to you.
Who is Anawack?
Anawack is a community helper with multiple accounts and consoles that stay AFK on GTA. He's there to help with glitches that need a second or third player. To use him: join via his profile (or wherever you can join), accept the first alert and decline the second. You need to be in an auto-aim or free-aim session depending on the account. On Xbox you have to friend him to join; on PlayStation you don't. His accounts are pinned in each console's channel. Unfriend when you're done so others get a chance.
What's the point of merging cars?
Car merging is when you copy the upgrades, paints, and wheels from one car onto another. It lets you put things like Benny's wheels or F1 wheels on vehicles that normally can't have them.
I've been offered a money drop. Do they still work?
No. They don't work anymore and haven't for years. Don't go through with money drops β€” whether free or paid β€” if someone offers; they're scamming you.
